German police have arrested two Belarusian citizens suspected of preparing acts of sabotage targeting infrastructure in Germany on behalf of Russia, as well as an arson attempt at a defense facility in Romania, as reported by Ad Hoc News.

According to law enforcement sources, the suspects were planning to ignite areas near railway tracks and power lines in the Nuremberg district. The two individuals, aged 39 and 50, have been held in custody since early October.

At the same time, Romanian security agencies are conducting a parallel investigation into the pair. Romanian intelligence reports indicate that the men participated in a September 14 arson attack at an industrial park in Brașov, Romania.

The site houses production facilities for a defense contractor that manufactures grenade launchers and ammunition. Romanian intelligence officials believe both suspects are part of a broader Moscow-directed sabotage network.

German prosecutors have formally charged the two men with acting as foreign agents for sabotage purposes and conspiring to commit arson.

Previously, on September 23, 2026, an arson attack targeted a Starlink ground station in Wola Krobowska, Poland, destroying its electrical distribution equipment and antennas.

German authorities subsequently arrested two Turkish nationals on October 12 following a request from Polish law enforcement, as both suspects were believed to have set the fire on behalf of a Turkish organized crime group acting under instructions from Russian intelligence services. Polish officials classified the incident as deliberate, state-sponsored sabotage linked directly to Moscow.
