Police in Gdynia, Poland, are searching for an unidentified assailant who struck a Ukrainian citizen twice on the head with a wooden stick around 3:30 p.m. on July 30 before fleeing the scene.
Officers conducted an inspection of the location and gathered physical evidence, while emergency services transported the victim to a hospital for medical treatment, as reported by Wiadomosci.

The woman was reportedly walking while speaking Ukrainian on the phone when she was struck from behind on the head, causing a serious head injury. She was transported to the hospital, where medical staff confirmed there was no threat to her life, and she was later released home following an examination.
Investigators are analyzing all collected evidence to determine the exact circumstances of the event while continuing the search for the suspect. Law enforcement officials currently see no grounds to classify the incident as a national hatred crime.
Poland has recorded an increase in hate-motivated crimes across the country.
