Polish FlyFocus Tests “Striker” Deep-Strike Drone With Up to 1,000 km Range in Ukraine

A Polish-made Striker deep-strike unmanned aerial vehicle with a reported range of up to 1,000 kilometers has been tested near Kyiv, according to representatives of its manufacturer, FlyFocus.
FlyFocus president Igor Skawiński and operations director Albert Świerczyński said in an interview with Kanał Telewizyjny on June 15 that the system underwent trials at a test range outside the Ukrainian capital.

“The drone was tested at a training ground near Kyiv and received positive feedback from Ukrainian operators,” the company said.
The Striker is classified as a deep-strike UAV with a maximum take-off weight of 140 kilograms. It can be powered either by a small piston engine or, optionally, by a jet propulsion system.

The platform is capable of carrying a 40- or 60-kilogram warhead, including high-explosive fragmentation or thermobaric payloads. According to FlyFocus, the 40-kilogram configuration allows the drone to achieve a range of up to 1,000 kilometers.
As reported by Ukrainain defense outlet Militarnyi, its piston-engine version, the Striker can reach speeds between 90 and 180 km/h, while a jet-powered variant can accelerate to a maximum speed of up to 325 km/h, operating within a broader speed envelope of 95 to 325 km/h.

The drone can be guided either by pre-programmed coordinates or via a video homing system supported by a satellite data link. Its communications are protected by encrypted channels, while launch is carried out using a pneumatic launcher system.
Beyond strike missions, the Striker platform can also be configured for reconnaissance roles or used as an aerial target system.
Just a month earlier, Dutch defense technology company FIDUCIAL Defense tested an automated drone target acquisition system in Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian defense tech cluster Brave1.
The system, which uses computer vision for unmanned aerial vehicles, was assessed under the “Test in Ukraine” program and integrated with the Ukrainian interceptor drone “Vovkulakа.”
