More than 100 Ukrainian companies have gained access to Brave1 Dataroom, a secure platform designed to train artificial intelligence models using real-world data.
According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense on June 11, the companies are already using the platform to develop, validate and fine-tune AI solutions for military applications.

Brave1 Dataroom provides developers with structured datasets in a protected environment, including visual and thermal data of aerial targets collected under real combat conditions.
Officials said the platform is also helping accelerate the development of drone interceptor technologies, with a particular focus on automated detection and neutralisation of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles.
Companies work with datasets covering different types of aerial targets recorded in varying weather conditions, times of day, and using multiple sensor systems. This enables AI models to be trained on scenarios that closely resemble modern battlefield environments. Special attention is given to countering Shahed-type strike drones and other hostile UAVs.

The Ministry of Defense noted that dozens of AI and computer vision systems are already in operational use on the frontline. These systems support tasks such as autonomous drone guidance, GPS-denied navigation under electronic warfare conditions, automated intelligence analysis, detection of camouflaged equipment and personnel, control of autonomous firing systems, and data analysis for enemy behaviour forecasting within the DELTA system.
To further accelerate deployment, Ukraine is expanding cooperation with international companies and developing partnerships through the Avengers Labs platform, which allows both domestic and foreign developers to train AI models on millions of annotated frames from real combat missions.

The development comes as Ukraine’s defense innovation cluster Brave1 has announced a new international startup competition, Battle Proven, which will be held during the Defense Tech Valley 2026 summit in Lviv on September 16–17.
According to the announcement, the competition will focus on defense technologies already deployed on the battlefield or expected to reach operational use within the next year. Startups from Ukraine and abroad will be eligible to participate.
