The partisan movement ATESH reported that a Russian soldier stationed on the Kherson front has reached out seeking safe evacuation in exchange for information on occupying forces.

According to ATESH, the soldier belongs to one of the units of the so-called “Dnepr” military group and described the conditions as inhumane, saying that troops are treated as expendable.

“Our unit is a punishment for any soldier. They send here everyone with health problems, disabilities, or those prone to desertion… People are not counted—many are not even listed on the unit’s rolls, since they don’t stay long,” Atesh quoted him as saying.

The underground group stressed that the number of Russian servicemen supporting their movement continues to grow. The information received has already been passed to Ukraine’s Defense Forces for verification and further use.

“Every Russian soldier has a choice: remain cannon fodder in this senseless war or save his life. Atesh guarantees safe evacuation to Ukrainian-controlled territory, medical assistance, and a reward for valuable information,” the movement stated.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Air Assault Forces published a video on Telegram showing Russian soldiers complaining that their commanders were sending them on so-called “meat assaults” near Pokrovsk.

In the footage, a soldier from Irkutsk films the bodies of his fallen comrades, alleging that they were thrown into battle without regard for their survival.

“This is yet another example of the Russian command’s disregard for the lives of its soldiers. They are promised big contract payments and humane treatment, but instead receive nothing and are immediately sent into battle—without equipment, without support, without assistance—straight into ‘meat assaults,’” Ukraine’s Air Assault Forces said.

Earlier, ATESH reported that Russian soldiers who decline to renew their contracts are being sent to the Kursk region, where they are forced into high-risk “meat grinder” assaults.
