President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Azerbaijani Embassy building in Kyiv sustained damage after a Russian drone and missile strike in the early hours of November 14.

He noted that debris from an Iskander missile hit the diplomatic facility.

Zelenskyy added that the attack was intentionally planned to inflict the greatest possible damage on civilians and critical infrastructure, with Kyiv serving as the primary target of the overnight assault.

During the night of November 13–14, Kyiv came under a massive Russian airstrike involving drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic missiles. The attack took place in the middle of the night, causing widespread damage across the capital on both the right and left banks.

The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymyr Tkachenko, said that four people were killed and 27 injured.

The State Emergency Service reported that more than 40 residents were rescued after drone impacts ignited fires in several multi-story buildings. In the Podil district, a strike hit a high-rise around the 15th floor. In Sviatoshyn, a blaze broke out in a 22-story residential building near the 19th floor.

Strikes on residential high-rises were reported in several other districts as well, underscoring that the attack directly targeted civilian areas. Many apartments were left severely damaged or completely destroyed.

City authorities also confirmed hits on civilian infrastructure, including a school and a hospital.

Emergency crews continue to work at the affected sites, responding to fires, clearing debris, and assisting residents.

Earlier, it was reported that The Security Service of Ukraine has collected evidence linking the leadership of Russian military formations to the missile attack on Lviv carried out during the night of September 3–4, 2024.
