Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,240 Soldiers, 39 Artillery Systems and 1,781 Drones in One Day

Russian forces lost 1,240 personnel over the past 24 hours, according to the General Staff on March 21.
The updated estimate puts Russia’s total personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion at approximately 1,286,940.

The latest data also shows additional losses in military equipment, including one tank, one armored fighting vehicle, 39 artillery systems, one helicopter, 1,781 UAVs, and 144 vehicles and fuel tanks.
Cumulative Russian losses now include 11,790 tanks, 24,262 armored fighting vehicles, and 38,608 artillery systems, according to the latest update from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Russia has also lost 1,691 multiple launch rocket systems and 1,333 air defense systems since the start of its full-scale invasion.

The total also includes 435 aircraft, 350 helicopters, and 4,468 cruise missiles. At sea, Russia’s losses stand at 33 warships and boats and two submarines, while total losses of vehicles and fuel tanks have reached 84,518, alongside 4,096 units of special equipment.
Compared with the previous 24-hour reporting period, the latest update recorded additional losses of one tank, one armored fighting vehicle, 39 artillery systems, one helicopter, 1,781 UAVs, and 144 vehicles and fuel tanks.
The General Staff also reported that Russian forces lost 1,240 personnel over the same period.
The update also came alongside new indications that recently Ukraine had struck one of Russia’s scarce airborne early warning planes, A-50.
The aircraft was reportedly damaged during Ukraine’s March 17 strike on the 123rd Aircraft Repair Plant in Staraya Russa, in Russia’s Novgorod region, the General Staff confirmed on March 20.
