Daily Update: Russia Loses 780 Troops, 60 Artillery Systems, and Over 1,300 Drones in One Day

Russian forces sustained heavy losses over the past 24 hours, with at least 780 troops killed or wounded, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on the morning of February 4.
According to updated figures, Russian casualties since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have now reached approximately 1,243,070 personnel.

Ukraine’s General Staff said Russian units also lost significant amounts of equipment during the past day, including four tanks, seven armored combat vehicles, and 60 artillery systems, underscoring the intensity of fighting along multiple sections of the front.
In total, Ukrainian forces recorded 153 combat engagements over the past 24 hours, as Russian troops continued offensive operations despite mounting losses.
Updated Russian losses as of February 4, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, include:

The General Staff said Russian forces launched two missile strikes using a total of 72 missiles, carried out 38 airstrikes dropping 148 guided aerial bombs, and deployed 7,887 attack drones over the past day.
Russian artillery and rocket forces also conducted 3,911 shelling attacks against Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including 46 strikes using multiple launch rocket systems, highlighting the continued pressure on both frontline units and civilian infrastructure.
Earlier, reports emerged that Russian infantry units stationed on the frontlines in Ukraine were resorting to opioid use to manage psychological stress from constant battlefield losses, failed assaults, and high casualty rates.
