Drone Without Warhead Found in Romania’s Vaslui County After Airspace Violation

Romania’s defense minister, Ionuț Moșteanu, said a Russian drone without a warhead was discovered in Vaslui County on November 25 after entering Romanian airspace during Russia’s overnight attack on Ukraine.
Speaking during a visit to the 57th “Mihail Kogălniceanu” Air Base, he confirmed the drone went down in the Puiești area, as reported by Agerpres.

“Another Russian drone entered our airspace, a new provocation by Russia against Romania, a drone that the Romanian army and German Eurofighter jets attempted to shoot down… A drone without any payload was found in Vaslui County,” Moșteanu said, adding that he was cutting short his visit and returning to Bucharest to coordinate further actions.
According to the minister, Romanian and German fighter jets scrambled during the night chose not to fire at the UAV, which likely crashed due to a loss of control or because it ran out of fuel.
Meanwhile, during Russia’s overnight attack on Ukraine, one of the drones entered Moldovan airspace and crashed into a residential property in the town of Cuhureștii de Jos, Moldovan police reported on Facebook on November 25.
“A few minutes ago, in the garden of a house in the town of Cuhureștii de Jos, Florești district, a drone fell onto the guard’s home,” the police wrote.
According to News Maker, Moldova’s Ministry of Defense later confirmed that six drones in total had violated the country’s airspace.
“As a result of the massive attack on Ukraine during the night from Monday to Tuesday, airspace monitoring systems operated by the National Army detected six drones illegally crossing the national airspace on the morning of November 25, 2025,” the ministry said.
Earlier, Russia launched a coordinated attack on Kyiv using Kalibr cruise missiles, Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, and Shahed drones, igniting multiple residential buildings and leaving at least seven people dead and 13 injured, including children.
