Kalibrs, Kinzhals, Shahed Drones: Massive Russian Night Strike Hits Kyiv, Killing Seven, Injuring Dozens

Russia hammered Kyiv in the early hours of November 25 with a coordinated barrage of Kalibrs, Kinzhals, and Shahed drones, leaving multiple apartment blocks in flames and killing at least seven people and injuring 21, including children.
Kyiv was hit by a large, coordinated attack with Russia firing cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and Iranian-designed attack drones toward the capital, killing six people and injuring 13, according to the State Emergency Service (SES) on November 25.
The strike combined Kalibr cruise missiles launched from the Novorossiysk area, high-speed ballistic trajectories moving through the Chernihiv region, and aeroballistic “Kinzhal” missiles fired from MiG-31K aircraft.
UPD. As of 5:13 p.m, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported that the number of injured reached 21.
UPD. As of 12:42 a.m., Kyiv City Mayor reported that the number of victims of the Russian airstrike on Kyiv increased to seven as rescuers pulled a man’s body out of the rubble.

According to Ukraine’s Air Force, the Kalibr missiles traveled north through central regions before being intercepted near Kyiv.
Ballistic salvos were later fired from the Bryansk region, followed by launches of Kinzhal missiles—though officials have not yet released detailed assessments of those impacts.
At the end of the assault, several waves of attack drones approached Kyiv from multiple directions, including over the Obolon district.
A 22-story residential building in the Pechersk district was struck by debris from a downed missile, damaging multiple floors and triggering a fire between the 4th and 5th levels. One resident was rescued from the rubble as search teams continued clearing debris.

On the city’s left bank, in the Dniprovskyi district, a suspected drone impact set the upper floors of a nine-story residential block ablaze. One person was killed, five were injured, and 17 people—including three children—were rescued, authorities said.
Another two-story building elsewhere in Kyiv was damaged without causing a fire, while debris also fell in the Darnytskyi district on open ground in a residential area.
Emergency crews continued operating through the morning. Several neighborhoods experienced temporary disruptions to water and electricity.
Beyond the capital, the head of the Kyiv Regional Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, warned that the region was under “a massive combined strike.”
In the city of Bila Tserkva, one person was killed and several others injured, including a 14-year-old girl with back wounds, Kalashnyk said.
“She is already receiving the necessary medical care,” he wrote, adding that residential buildings had been damaged and rescue teams were still working at the scene.
Earlier, a Russian missile barrage targeted western Ukraine overnight, collapsing part of a high‑rise in Ternopil, killing at least 34 and injuring dozens of other residents, including children.
