The European Union is discussing the potential deployment of military advisors to Ukraine to organize training for Ukrainian forces, the European Commission spokesperson Anitta Hipper stated during a briefing on April 16 in Brussels, European Pravda reported.
Hipper confirmed that the matter of sending military personnel from EU member states was discussed on April 14 during a meeting of the EU Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg.
The European Commission spokesperson said that this issue is being discussed, but the main focus is to support Ukraine and strengthen it as much as possible, adding that discussions are also ongoing regarding the mission’s adaptation, but at this point, she cannot share any further details.

Hipper declined to answer whether the deployment of an EU training mission in Ukraine is planned to take place after a ceasefire in Russia’s war against Ukraine or if it could occur while the ongoing military operations are still underway.
On April 4, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with journalists to discuss the ongoing efforts to secure support from foreign military contingents in Ukraine. The Coalition of the Willing , which unites several countries, is prepared to offer assistance as Ukraine continues to face challenges from Russian aggression.
