First Lady Zelenska Urges Real Response From Europe and US to Russia’s Night Terror

The First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, stated that Ukraine is waiting for a clear response from international partners to Russia’s overnight missile strikes on June 17, which killed at least 16 civilians and injured over 130.
“It is already 11:00 AM in Europe. And we are still waiting for our partners to react to the Russian terror of this night. And so far we have not seen it. USA is still sleeping,” Zelenska wrote on her official account on X.
Zelenska stressed that Kyiv is not seeking sympathy but is demanding a concrete and effective response to Russian terror.
“Meanwhile, rescuers in Ukraine are dismantling the remains of a high-rise building destroyed by a Russian missile. It ended at least 14 lives. We are not asking for sympathy. We demand a real effective response,” the First Lady added.

In the capital alone, Russia’s massive missile and drone strike killed at least 15 people, including a 62-year-old US citizen identified as Grendy Frederick Glenn, and injured more than 114. Several people are reported missing.
In Odesa, the body of a 60-year-old woman was recovered from under the rubble. A total of 17 people were injured, including a pregnant woman and a 17-year-old girl.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, commenting on Russia’s large-scale attack on Ukraine on June 17, underscored that Moscow deliberately launched the strikes during the Group of Seven summit.
“Putin does this on purpose, just during the G7 summit. He sends a signal of total disrespect to the United States and other partners who have called for an end to the killing,” Sybiha wrote.
