First NATO-Grade Electronic Warfare Systems Arrive in Ukraine to Combat Russian UAVs

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have received the first batch of FC.K electronic warfare (EW) systems, developed by Ukraine’s First Contact in partnership with Germany’s GSMK and supported by the German government.
According to Defense Express on August 26, the systems are designed to counter Russian drones and have successfully passed NATO codification and certification procedures, confirming their compliance with international standards.
The first delivery included 30 units, which have already been deployed to Ukrainian military units following successful combat trials.

The FC.K system is a mobile tactical complex intended for detecting and jamming unmanned aerial vehicles’ control links, as well as disrupting video and telemetry data transmission between drones and their operators.
The equipment is mounted on the Kozak armored vehicle, produced by the Ukrainian company Praktika, which enables safe operation in high-risk areas and provides protection for crews against FPV drones and other threats.
The system also supports remote operation through a portable workstation, allowing missions to be carried out without direct operator presence near the vehicle.
The complex features several modes of electronic jamming, a modern control system, and innovative software with cryptographic information protection.

A key component is its capability to detect, analyze, and locate mobile communication base stations—technology developed by GSMK, a global leader in secure communications.
Valerii Borovyk, combat veteran and founder of First Contact, noted that the project was the result of long-term engineering cooperation between Ukrainian and German partners. He emphasized that the delivery of FC.K marks progress in strengthening Ukraine’s technological capabilities on the battlefield.
Earlier, Ukraine’s defense forces began deploying the Veres-2 electronic warfare system—designed to jam signals from Mavic- and Autel-type drones used by Russian troops to drop explosives. Several brigades reported successful use of the compact jammer on the Zaporizhzhia and Pokrovsk fronts.
