Ukrainian special services have established a supply chain to deliver heated boot insoles containing built-in explosive devices to units of the Russian Armed Forces.

Оperatives built this delivery network by involving Russian volunteers and charitable foundations, according to Militarnyi on March 24.

The first shipments began in early March, involving tens of thousands of units. The plan was partially exposed due to the careless actions of one participant who was being used by Ukrainian intelligence without his knowledge.

Consequently, the Russian FSB  discovered a shipment being transported from Poland through Belarus.

During an inspection of a truck, authorities found 502 heated insoles. Each item contained 1.5 grams of TNT. This amount of explosive is enough to cause serious foot injuries and render a soldier unable to fight.

“According to our information, previous batches of insoles have done their job. The FSB discovered this batch only when they began to trace the supply chain. Of course, these few hundred pieces are only part of our “gifts”,” the source stated.

This is not the first creative operation conducted by Ukrainian special services during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Russian military personnel have previously suffered losses from items delivered under the guise of humanitarian aid.

Specifically, Russian drone pilots have been killed by explosions from FPV goggles and fiber optic coils.

Previously, a Russian serviceman inadvertently revealed his unit’s location by filming a video that showcased a new electronic warfare (EW) system designed to counter Ukrainian drones.

Shortly after the video appeared online, Ukrainian forces struck the position with FPV drones, destroying both the EW system and its carrier vehicle. According to Ukrainian sources, the original footage showed troops deploying a complex setup with various antennas, but the same position was later hit by several drones that precisely targeted the equipment.

Following the strike, the same soldier posted another video that confirmed the aftermath, showing that the unit and the truck had been completely destroyed.
