Ukrainian border guards from the Phoenix unit of the Pomsta Brigade successfully targeted and destroyed a Russian BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher on the Lyman front.
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine released footage of the operation on March 12, showing the vehicle being struck while fully loaded with rockets.

The Russian forces had positioned the Grad launcher inside a fortified dugout covered with logs to conceal it from aerial surveillance. It remained hidden underground as the crew reportedly waited for an opportunity to fire.
However, Ukrainian drone operators identified the position and neutralized the threat before the rockets could be launched.
In recent days, Ukrainian forces have located and hit two separate Grad systems in this specific sector of the front. Beyond the loss of heavy machinery, the Russian military also lost several artillery pieces and dozens of infantry during recent engagements in the area.
Ukrainian units also focused on targeting Russian drone capabilities.
"Our team managed to find and burn several locations from which the enemy controlled drones. Together with the drone operators themselves. There will be more to come! The Phoenix unit does not stop!" the State Border Guard Service stated in their commentary on the footage.

This operation is part of a broader effort by the Phoenix unit to systematically reduce the logistics and personnel of the Russian forces. Similar strikes have been reported on the Dobropillia front, where drone operators continue to target Russian transport and infantry.
Ukrainian drone operators from the Phoenix unit destroyed a Russian BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket system and a 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer, while also damaging several other armored vehicles, including three tanks and a BMP-2, according to footage published by Ukraine’s Armed Forces Drone Systems Command.
The Grad launcher was eliminated while moving into a firing position fully loaded with rockets, preventing a planned strike as objective control confirmed the complete destruction of the vehicle along with its crew.
Additionally, the unit struck a Gvozdika howitzer during an attempted nighttime redeployment, successfully depriving Russian forces of critical firepower during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
