The Israel Defense Forces have announced the destruction of an underground military bunker belonging to Ali Khamenei in Tehran.

Approximately 50 Israeli Air Force fighter jets carried out the strike on the facility, which was located beneath a complex of government buildings on March 6.

According to the military, the bunker served as a secure emergency command center for the Iranian leadership.

The structure extended under several streets in the center of the city and included various entrances and meeting rooms for high-ranking officials.

The site was used by the regime as a base to coordinate military actions and promote ideologies against Israel and Western countries.

While Ali Khamenei was eliminated during a previous operation named “Roaring Lion” before he could utilize the facility, senior officials continued to use the compound for their operations.

The operation followed an extensive period of intelligence gathering and research by the Israeli Directorate. The military stated that the bunker was one of the regime’s most significant command centers.

The destruction of this facility is expected to impact the command and control capabilities of the Iranian leadership.

Earlier, Israeli intelligence and the CIA carried out a targeted strike on Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s compound in Tehran on February 28, 2026. This successful operation relied on a major cyber breach where Israel hacked nearly all traffic cameras in the city to monitor the Supreme Leader and his security detail.

By analyzing mobile phone data and the daily routines of his guards, operatives established a "pattern of life" that allowed them to strike with precision.

During the attack, electronic warfare was used to disable local mobile phone towers, ensuring the security team remained blinded and unable to receive warnings before the munitions hit.
