A missile attack damaged a building housing German military personnel at an air base in Jordan, though no troops were injured, according to a report by Der Spiegel on March 10.

The strike affected a facility used by the Bundeswehr contingent stationed at al-Azraq Air Base, a key location supporting coalition operations in the region.

German soldiers were able to move into shelters in time, preventing casualties among the personnel stationed there.

Officials are now investigating whether the base itself was directly hit or whether the damage was caused by debris from missiles intercepted by air defense systems.

The base also hosts US Air Force units, whose air defense systems are responsible for protecting the facility.

Germany has maintained a military presence at al-Azraq for several years as part of the international anti-terrorism coalition operating in the region.

The primary role of the German contingent is to support operations using aerial refueling aircraft, which help sustain coalition air missions.

However, due to the worsening security situation in the Middle East, military leadership had already reduced the number of German personnel deployed at the base.

Currently, two A400M transport aircraft remain stationed at the airfield and are on standby in case an emergency evacuation becomes necessary.

Previously, a suspected Iranian drone struck the parking lot of the US consulate in Dubai.

In addition, a video verified by The Wall Street Journal showed strikes on airports, seaports, high-rise towers, and a United States naval base in Bahrain. At least three people were killed in strikes in the United Arab Emirates and one in Oman.

Earlier, Russia declared support for Iran amid the escalating confrontation involving the United States and Israel, signaling that Moscow does not consider itself a neutral actor in the unfolding Middle East crisis.
