During a visit to the border areas of the Sumy region, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted a decline in shelling and civilian casualties since the launch of the Kursk operation. He held a meeting with Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi and the head of the Sumy region to assess the situation.

The head of the committee provided an update on the operational status across all active areas, stating, “In certain areas of the Kursk region now under Ukrainian control, we have gained another settlement and have also added to our prisoner exchange fund.”

The Commander-in-Chief provided a comprehensive update on the operational conditions across all active areas, particularly focusing on the most challenging sectors of the front. He detailed the measures being implemented to bolster defenses in the Toretsk and Pokrovsk directions within the Donetsk region.
