The Government of Luxembourg has committed €1 million to provide psychological support to Ukrainian teenagers and young people through the Olena Zelenska Foundation. This was revealed by the First Lady of Ukraine on Facebook on April 2.

The initiative was announced by the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, who emphasized Luxembourg’s consistent and multifaceted support for Ukraine since the outset of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

“Luxembourg remains a steadfast partner of the Ukrainian people, supporting us across humanitarian, military, energy, and diplomatic domains,” Zelenska noted.

The funding will contribute to the Foundation’s expanding focus on psychosocial assistance for youth, a need that has become increasingly urgent amid the ongoing war.

“This is a critically important project,” the First Lady stated. “Ukrainian teenagers and young people are not simply coming of age in the shadow of conflict, they are navigating daily anxiety, loss, and uncertainty, shaped by the constant presence of war.”

Zelenska also expressed her deep appreciation to Luxembourg for its decisive contribution and ongoing solidarity with Ukraine.

Earlier, Luxembourg has announced an additional allocation of €20 million to support Ukraine's defense and energy sectors. Of this amount, €10 million will be contributed to the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund. The funding will go toward critical needs such as infrastructure restoration, equipment procurement, and fuel supply.
