“Today’s call between President Trump and Putin demonstrates how even the discussion about Tomahawk missiles has already forced Putin back into dialogue with America,” Sybiha stated.
According to him, the conversation reflects a broader truth—that strength, not hesitation, creates space for peace.
“We need to continue with strong steps”,” he wrote. “Strength can truly create momentum for peace.”
Sybiha emphasized that Russia has lost its strategic initiative and now relies mainly on attacks against Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure.
“The only tool they have left is terror against our energy system and hopes that winter can become a weapon working in their favor,” he said.

He argued that continued determination from Ukraine and its allies is essential to end the war on fair terms.
“Further strong decisions are crucial. They will ensure that Putin has no illusions and must seek an end to the war,” Sybiha said.
The minister concluded with a note of confidence, drawing a parallel with other global crises.
“Sufficient strength and determination can bring peace in Europe—just as they did in the Middle East,” he said.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said, that he and Russian leader Vladimir Putin agreed to send high-level advisors to preliminary meetings next week, led by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, ahead of a planned summit between the two leaders in Budapest, Hungary.
