In a bizarre incident in Moldova’s Pepeni village, a local farmer found a Russian drone in his field. Instead of reporting it immediately, he took the drone home in his motorized cart, removed its engine, and later decided to deliver it to the village mayor, Oleg Cernei, when he returned, EuronNews Romania correspondent Vitalie Cojocari reported, citing village’s major Oleg Cernei on December 3.

When the mayor inquired about the missing engine, the farmer explained it was at home. After expressing concern over the potential danger, the mayor quickly contacted authorities.

The situation unfolded in the Sângerei region, where local authorities responded swiftly to ensure the safety of the public, according to Cojocari.

This night, Russian drones also attacked Odesa, causing a fire at an energy infrastructure facility and injuring six people. Additionally, an administrative building was damaged, along with nearby high-rise buildings and cars.

Previously, Russian Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Ozerev was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was shown a downed drone that had fallen in the northern part of the country. Moldova handed him a formal protest note due to the illegal flight of six drones through its airspace. In response, Ozerev stated that “there needs to be an investigation,” adding that “many operations are carried out under false flags,” Moldovan outlet NewsMaker reported.
