According to the head of Kryvyi Rih District, Yevhen Sitnichenko, “Unfortunately, the death toll has risen to two. My condolences to the families of the victims.” Sitnichenko also reported that six people, including two children, have sought psychological assistance.
The strike caused damage to six shops, four apartment buildings, one food establishment, and eight vehicles. “All emergency services are continuing their work at the site of the tragedy,” Lysak noted.
The explosion occurred on August 26 at 11:18 PM, just eight minutes after an air raid alert was declared in the region. Prior to the attack, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine had warned of the possible use of ballistic missiles from Crimea.
