Russia Launches Coordinated Drone and Guided Bomb Attacks Across Ukraine, Injuring at Least 18 People
Russian forces launched a coordinated attack on multiple regions of Ukraine, including Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk region, on October 21.
Russian forces launched strikes on three districts in Kharkiv using KAB-250 aerial bombs, reported local police on October 21.
The head of the Kharkiv police, Volodymyr Tymoshko, described the attack as an act of terror targeting civilians.
“Russian tactical aviation approached from the Belgorod direction. The KAB bombs were scattered across the city randomly, indicating that the strikes were not aimed at military targets but were meant to terrorize local population,” Tymoshko said.
As a result of the Russian attack, 13 civilians were injured, including 7 women aged 22 to 83 and 5 men aged 21 to 38.
Residential buildings, non-residential structures, garages, a car service center, a gas station, private properties, and vehicles were damaged.
Investigators, forensic experts, and bomb disposal units are working at the impact sites to assess the damage and collect evidence.
In a separate incident, Russian forces struck Kryvyi Rih overnight, injuring 4 people, including a 12-year-old child. The attack damaged a hotel, five apartment buildings, a cultural center, a bank, two stores, and 14 cars, according to the regional administration.
Additionally, in Kyiv’s Solomyanskyi district, one person was injured as a result of a drone strike. A man suffered facial burns but declined hospitalization.
Earlier, Russia injured 17 people in “Double Tap” attack on Kryvyi Rih on October 20.
