Russian forces have begun utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to disperse unexploded ordnance across Ukrainian territory. This was reported by The Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs via Telegram on April 9.

These items pose a significant risk due to the uncertainty of their detonation timing.

“They can be used by the enemy to strike any region of the country. The risk is extremely high also because the time of detonation of such munitions is unknown,” the Ministry wrote.

The objects were found in Kyiv following Russian Shahed drone attack on the capital overnight on April 9. The Ministry notes that the items may vary in appearance.

Previously on April 7, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi reported that Ukrainian drones destroyed more than 77,000 Russian targets in March, a 10% increase from February.
