The affected areas include the Bucha, Fastiv, and Obukhiv districts.
The State Emergency Service (SES) reported that in Bucha, one person was killed, and firefighters managed to extinguish a car fire. The Bucha district also includes Vyshneve, where on the morning of April 3, according to BBC Ukraine, a drone fell in the yard of a local school and a kindergarten.

In Fastiv, fires erupted in a veterinary clinic, a car, and a private residence, leaving one person injured. In Obukhiv, a multi-story residential building was struck, though there were no fatalities. Additionally, in the village of Kryukivshchyna, the roof of a five-story residential building was damaged.
Additionally, about 20 animals were killed due to the destruction of a veterinary clinic, according to Kalashnyk.
“Unfortunately, animals were also affected by the attack—around 20 animals were killed due to the damage to the veterinary clinic,” the statemnet read.
UPD. The number of animals killed in a strike on a veterinary clinic in Chabany has been revised to seven. At the time of the attack, staff managed to reach shelter moments before the impact and were unaware that the building itself had been hit until emergency responders instructed them to evacuate due to a fire.
“We didn’t even know it had hit us. Only later did someone come in and say: ‘Get out, you’re on fire.’ We came out, and everything was in flames,” the clinic’s administrator said.
Emergency services attempted to rescue the animals, supplying oxygen and working to stabilize the injured. However, due to the intensity of the fire and difficulties accessing the premises, the animals could not be saved. Seven animals—two dogs and five cats—were being treated in the clinic at the time, and all were confirmed dead, according to staff.
Just a day earlier, on April 2, Russian forces carried out a series of rocket drone strikes on Kharkiv, marking the city’s first such attack, as reported by Kharkiv’s mayor, Ihor Terekhov.
Terekhov confirmed this new tactic in a statement posted on Telegram, explaining that the assaults began in the early hours of the day.
