Russian Forces Launch Deadly Attack on Zaporizhzhia Region, Leaving One Dead and Four Wounded

On April 9, Russian military forces launched a heavy attack on the village of Balabine in the Zaporizhzhia region, causing significant destruction and leaving at least one person dead and four others injured.

This was reported by Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration.
The morning assault included at least eight strikes on the village. The shelling caused extensive damage to private homes, and local authorities are working to assess the full extent of the destruction.
Fedorov added that the situation remains critical, with medical teams providing immediate assistance to those affected. He confirmed that a woman aslo sustained injuries in the village of Balabine, where several private houses were also destroyed in the attack.
During the previous attack on March 16, Russian drones targeted a residential area in Zaporizhzhia, causing destruction to private homes.
As a result, one woman lost her life and three others sustained injuries. The drones damaged several homes, with windows shattered and roofs and facades severely affected. Some residents were trapped under the rubble.
According to Ivan Fedorov, the strike occurred in a residential district. Emergency services swiftly initiated a search-and-rescue operation to locate those trapped by the debris.
