In the Kyiv region, strikes hit towns and villages, damaging homes and critical infrastructure and killing a civilian in the Fastiv district southwest of the capital, Governor Mykola Kalashnyk said.

Kalashnyk added that parts of the region were left without electricity, while Ukrainian media cited him as saying the city of Slavutych lost power and critical infrastructure was switched to backup supply.
Earlier, Russian forces carried out a heavy coordinated missile and drone attack on Kyiv and surrounding districts, damaging residential buildings, energy infrastructure, triggering fires, injuring civilians, and killing at least one woman in Bila Tserkva as emergency teams responded across multiple locations.
