Fighters from the Paskuda battalion of the Kraken-1654 unmanned systems regiment, part of Ukraine’s 3rd Army Corps, have captured unusual behavior by Russian assault troops near the front line, according to video released on the corps’ official channel on February 11.

Ukrainian drone operators were tracking a Russian UAZ van with the intention of destroying it using an FPV strike drone. Instead, they witnessed what the unit described as a bizarre act resembling a ritual sacrifice.

Near the line of contact, the Russian troops abruptly stopped and began lighting a fire using their own vehicle.

“To avoid a collision with our drones, which had already destroyed enemy equipment in this sector and were preparing for the next strike, the enemy carried out a session of self-immolation,” representatives of the 3rd Corps said.

Earlier, Ukrainian forces tracked down and destroyed a Russian BM-27 Uragan-1 multiple-launch rocket system positioned in the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region.
