Ukrainian drone operators have tracked down and struck concealed Russian armored vehicles, destroying an infantry fighting vehicle hidden inside a hangar and damaging a separate tank, according to footage released by the Pentagon unmanned aviation battalion of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment.

The video highlights how harsh winter weather continues to complicate aerial reconnaissance along the front line. Battalion personnel said wind, precipitation, and poor visibility are disrupting standard surveillance patterns, though operations have continued at full pace despite the conditions.

“February at the front means wind, precipitation, and limited visibility, which complicate aerial reconnaissance. Weather disrupts standard procedures, but the battalion’s tempo does not slow,” the unit wrote.

Military officials added that an armored vehicle hangar was destroyed—those few remaining assets the Russians still relied on—and a tank was hit separately.

The next target of the Ukrainian drones was Russian communications. Strikes on antennas and command nodes produced an immediate effect—coordination was disrupted, decision-making slowed, and actions on positions became chaotic, according to the Ukrainian military.

The key focus was logistics. Dedicated crews systematically worked along rear routes. Pickups carrying ammunition and supplies to the front line were destroyed. Supply was disrupted, and operational tempo dropped,” the unit concluded.

Latest reports estimate that since the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russian forces lost 11,656 tanks and 24,018 armored fighting vehicles.

Earlier, Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed precision strikes on multiple Russian military targets, including a drone storage facility in Rostov region and a command post near the city of Sudzha in Russia’s Kursk region.

The operation destroyed approximately 6,000 FPV drones stored in containers near Rostov-on-Don.
