Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov stated that the missile caused extensive destruction, noting the intensity of the blast. In addition to the destroyed structure, local authorities reported that 19 other multi-story apartment buildings in the Kyiv district sustained damage, alongside a school building and several vehicles.
The “Izdeliye-30” is a new addition to the Russian aerial arsenal, with the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (HUR) providing detailed analysis of its design and components.
According to the HUR, the cruise missile is characterized by a wingspan of approximately 3 meters, an 800-kilogram warhead, and a flight range of at least 1,500 kilometers.

Intelligence officials report that the missile’s navigation system is complex, utilizing a combination of the “Kometa-M12” jam-resistant satellite signal receiver, produced by VNIIR-Progress, and a processing unit based on the NAVIS NR9 receiver.
According to the HUR’s analysis published on the “War & Sanctions” portal, the guidance and navigation components contain foreign-made parts sourced from the United States, Switzerland, China, and the Netherlands.
According to reports from Defense Express, the “Izdeliye-30” shares structural similarities with the existing Kh-101 cruise missile, which also features an 800-kilogram payload. Analysts suggest that the Russian military developed this new system for deployment from strategic bombers, such as the Tu-95 and Tu-160.

The HUR identified the weapon’s design characteristics as being consistent with those of the “Zvezda” design bureau, which is part of the “Tactical Missiles Corporation” (KTRV).
Intelligence data indicates that the missile incorporates technical solutions unified with other systems in the KTRV lineup, such as the X-35U and systems similar to the AKU-5M used for the Kh-101 and Kh-555 missiles.
Earlier, Russia significantly intensified its long-range strike campaign against Ukraine. According to an AFP analysis published on March 1 based on daily reports from Ukraine’s Air Force, Russian forces launched 288 missiles and more than 5,000 long-range drones against Ukraine in February 2026 alone, marking the highest monthly missile total since early 2023 and a continued escalation of attacks targeting Ukraine’s energy and civilian infrastructure.
