Fires broke out near the Titan power substation in the temporarily occupied city of Armiansk, Crimea, following an overnight drone attack, according to the Telegram channel Krymskyi Veter on August 8.

The monitoring group reported that around 1 a.m. local time, Russian air defense systems were active in the area of the Perekop Rampart. Shortly afterward, NASA FIRMS satellite data detected fires in the vicinity.

“A 220 kV substation named Titan is located here. Whether it was hit remains unknown,” Krymskyi Veter wrote.

The 220 kV  Titan substation is one of the most important energy facilities in northern occupied Crimea, supplying electricity to industrial enterprises, including the Crimean Titan chemical plant. It plays a strategic role in the region’s power network.

Located near the Perekop Rampart—a key transport and infrastructure hub—the facility is linked to major power lines and logistics routes. Disabling it could have serious consequences for the energy supply of Russian forces and Crimea’s industrial sites.

Previously, Ukraine’s military intelligence has published footage showing a successful strike on Russian radar systems concealed within protective domes on Mount Ai-Petri in occupied Crimea, along with the destruction of a Russian BK-16 landing craft, the agency’s press service reported on August 7.
