Ukrainian strike drones hit the permanent base of Russia’s 112th Missile Brigade in the city of Shuya, Ivanovo region for the second time this week. The attack was reported by several Telegram channels, including Astra, on April 17.

This same brigade was involved in the April 13 missile strike on Sumy, which killed 35 people.

After 3 a.m. on April 17, Russian social media began circulating reports of powerful explosions and a drone attack. Local residents described hearing at least three loud blasts, followed by gunfire.

Eyewitness footage shows Russian soldiers attempting to shoot down the drones. A fire broke out at the military site after the explosions, with images and videos of the blaze circulating online.

Ahead of the strike, local authorities had warned residents about the risk of a drone attack.

According to the Telegram channel Exilenova+, footage from a local resident suggests a hangar may have been hit - possibly one used to store Iskander ballistic missiles or other military equipment.

Just a day earlier, on the morning of April 16, the same missile brigade was targeted in a separate drone strike, using Long-range drones Liutyi. Footage of the strike has surfaced across social media platforms and has been corroborated by local residents, according to Russian outlet Astra.
