The Netherlands has already provided Ukraine with a radar system for the Patriot air defense and will soon deliver three additional launchers.

This was reported by the Dutch Minister of Defense Ruben Brekelmans.

“I can only talk about what we have delivered. We have delivered the [Patriot] radar system and will deliver three launchers very soon,” Brekelmans said. “We are also trying to find other elements that are necessary to complete the system. And there are several countries that are also very eager to help Ukraine. They are doing everything they can. But they have encountered some problems that make it impossible to assemble this system.”

The so-called “Patriot puzzle” was initiated by Breckelmans' predecessor Kaisa Ollongren. According to the plan, the Netherlands and other countries were planning to provide various components of the Patriot systems so that Ukraine receives a full-fledged complex.

“The reason we're not always transparent is because we don't want to inform Russia. And if I give all the operational details, we'll make Russia wiser than it already is. And I don't think we should inform Russia,” the Minister said.

Previously, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine needs 25 Patriot systems to cover all of Ukraine.
