Ukraine Confirms Successful Strikes on Russian Ammunition Storage and Drone Plant

Ukrainian Armed Forces have struck a Russian ammunition depot in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region and confirmed damage from an earlier strike on a drone manufacturing facility in Russia, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on January 16.
According to the General Staff, Ukrainian units hit an ammunition storage site belonging to Russia’s 76th Guards Air Assault Division near the city of Prymorsk on the temporarily occupied territory of the southern Ukrainian Zaporizhzhia region during the night.

The General Staff recalled that on January 13 Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a missile strike using domestically produced missiles against Atlant Aero.
The facility was involved in the full cycle of design, production, and testing of Molniya strike and reconnaissance drones, as well as manufacturing components for Orion UAVs used by the Russian Armed Forces.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to systematically implement measures aimed at weakening the offensive capabilities and military-economic potential of the Russian occupiers in order to force Russia to cease its armed aggression against Ukraine,” the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine wrote.
Previously, it was reported that Ukrainian drone units have struck multiple targets in temporarily Russian-occupied Donetsk region, including an ammunition depot and two key electrical substations, in what appears to be a coordinated precision operation by the Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS).
