The head of Ukraine's diplomacy mentioned that after the Moscow discussions, there was a phone call between the head of the Ukrainian delegation, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, and White House Special Envoy Steve Vitkoff.

“Since it was a phone conversation, for security reasons, it’s hard to imagine that the details of this meeting were discussed... US delegation representatives shared that, in their opinion, the Moscow talks were important for the peace process and invited the Ukrainian delegation to continue our discussions in the US soon,” Sybiha stated.

He also shared that consultations are ongoing between the head of the Ukrainian delegation and partners from the United Kingdom, Germany, and France to further coordinate efforts and evaluate the progress achieved.

“We indeed have progress from Geneva, then Miami... in the peace process, as we are now working with the 20-point document developed in Geneva. I can confirm that the US delegation listened to the Ukrainian delegation, and the document is continuing to evolve. Yes, some very sensitive issues have been bracketed and left for the leaders to decide on,” the minister added.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte revealed that the North Atlantic Alliance will be involved in talks concerning the NATO-related aspects of a potential peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia.

Rutte highlighted that NATO's role in the peace discussions will center around the elements directly pertaining to the alliance, stating, "Clearly, when it comes to the NATO components of an agreement to end the war against Ukraine, it will be addressed separately, and it will certainly involve NATO."
