According to Sybiha, this was made possible through the coordinated efforts of Ukrainian diplomats, with the support of the United States and Ukraine’s European partners.
He also expressed sincere gratitude to everyone involved in the process and in securing the release of the Ukrainian citizens.
“Protecting the rights and interests of Ukrainians abroad remains one of the top priorities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We make every effort to ensure that Ukrainian citizens, wherever they may be, feel the support and protection of their state,” the minister emphasized.

On the morning of January 3, multiple explosions were reported across various districts of Caracas, Venezuela’s capital. Residents heard blasts and saw military aircraft overhead in what witnesses described as a significant security incident. Parts of the city, particularly near key military sites, experienced power outages, and columns of smoke were visible in the early hours.
President Donald Trump authorized US military strikes on selected Venezuelan targets, including military installations, as part of a broader strategy against Nicolás Maduro’s government.

Trump wrote on Truth Social that the United States had executed a “large scale strike” against Venezuela and its leadership, and he asserted that Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife were “captured and flown out of the Country.”
Earlier. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that Moscow has no intention of sending military aid to Venezuela, stressing that Caracas has not made any requests for weapons or the deployment of Russian troops, and that their partnership does not include a mutual defense agreement.
