The Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine have reported the destruction of a sophisticated Russian radar system in occupied Crimea.

Pilots from the “Kairos” 9th Battalion of the 414th Unmanned Systems Brigade, known as “Madyar’s Birds,” targeted the 64N6 radar, which carries the nickname “Tombstone.”

Major Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, announced the operation on March 9.

He described the equipment as a highly mobile, three-dimensional surveillance radar.

“These are the eyes for the S-300PM and S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems in temporarily occupied Crimea,” Brovdi stated.

The strike was carried out using Ukrainian-made middle-strike FP-2 drones, which are equipped with warheads weighing between 60 and 100 kg.

The newly established SBS Deep Strike Center coordinated the mission.

This operation occurs as Ukrainian engineers continue work on a new ballistic missile with a range of 800 km, amid Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces used FP-2 strike drones to target a fuel-and-lubricants train and a fuel depot near Yantarne and Batumyne in temporarily occupied Crimea.

During the same overnight operations, the forces also struck a “Volna-2” electronic warfare station and an FPV drone operator training center in the Donetsk region, continuing asymmetric actions to undermine the offensive capabilities of the Russian army during Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
