Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces (SSO) conducted a coordinated strike against Russian military assets in occupied Crimea, destroying an S-400 “Triumf” air defense system and an ammunition depot belonging to Russia’s 18th Army, according to a statement from the SSO published on November 8.

The operation, which took place on the night of October 6, 2025, was carried out in cooperation between the SSO Resistance Movement and Deep Strike units. The agency stated that information about the mission had been withheld until now for operational security reasons.

According to the SSO, reconnaissance units of the Resistance Movement identified the exact location of the Russian ammunition depot near the village of Udachne, outside Simferopol.

After verification, the target was confirmed as a Russian military storage site and was later struck by FP-2 drones, resulting in secondary explosions and fires at the facility.

The same night, Ukrainian forces destroyed a mobile S-400 launcher positioned near the village of Uyutne, close to Yevpatoria. The S-400 “Triumf” system, one of Russia’s most advanced surface-to-air missile platforms, is designed to engage aircraft and missiles at long ranges and has been used by Russia to target Ukrainian territory.

While the SSO did not disclose the scale of damage in detail, imagery released by Ukrainian defense officials shows an S-400 launcher engulfed in flames shortly after impact.

Earlier, on November 5, Ukraine conducted a high-precision strike on a major Russian Shahed drone hub at the occupied Donetsk Airport, destroying up to 1,000 drones, a munitions warehouse, a fuel depot, and key UAV infrastructure, according to the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces.
