Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck Russian air defense systems, radar stations, and drone storage facilities in a series of overnight attacks on March 22–23, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported via Facebook.
According to the statement, Ukrainian units targeted several key military sites used by Russian forces to support combat operations. Among the confirmed strikes were air defense assets, including a Tor surface-to-air missile system in the temporarily occupied settlement of Kurakhivka in Donetsk region and a 2S6 Tunguska air defense system in Russia’s Bryansk region.

Ukrainian forces also hit a Nebo-U radar station near Suponyevo in Bryansk region. The extent of the damage is still being clarified, the General Staff said.
In addition, the strikes targeted logistics infrastructure used by Russian troops. These included a fuel and lubricants depot in the temporarily occupied settlement of Vedmezhe in Luhansk region, as well as ammunition, equipment, and rocket-artillery storage facilities in occupied parts of Donetsk region.
The report also said Ukrainian forces struck a drone storage site near Staromykhailivka and warehouses used to store Shahed-type unmanned aerial vehicles in Makiivka, Donetsk region.

According to the General Staff, the targeted facilities were used by Russian forces to maintain air defense operations, supply frontline units, and support the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in combat.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces reported separate strikes against Russian air defense equipment during operations earlier in March. The unit destroyed a Russian Buk-M3 air defense system, a Buk-M2 transporter-loader vehicle, and a Triumph radar belonging to an S-400 system, the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert “Madyar” Brovdi said.
According to Brovdi, the strikes were carried out between March 1 and March 22 at operational depth, with the latest hits recorded in Russia’s Bryansk region and in temporarily occupied parts of Donetsk region.

He said pilots from the 413th Separate Battalion Raid struck the Buk-M3 and Buk-M2 systems in Bryansk region, while another unit of the Unmanned Systems Forces targeted the Triumph radar in occupied Donetsk region.
Brovdi added that newly released footage shows the destruction of a Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system, a Buk-M2 launcher-loader vehicle, and a Triumph radar that is part of the S-400 air defense complex.
These strikes came as new figures from the General Staff indicated continued Russian losses in personnel and equipment. Russian forces lost 970 personnel over the past 24 hours, along with multiple pieces of military equipment, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on March 23.
According to the update, Ukrainian forces also destroyed one tank, five armored combat vehicles, 24 artillery systems, and one multiple launch rocket system.
Drone losses remained particularly high, with nearly 2,000 operational-tactical UAVs reportedly shot down in a single day, the General Staff said.
