Ukraine introduced the FP-1 long-range strike drone, a new addition to its rapidly advancing unmanned aerial vehicle fleet. The drone was unveiled at an exhibition dedicated to Infantry Day on May 6, according to Mezha Media.
Designed to target enemies at strategic depths, the FP-1 boasts a range of up to 1,600 kilometers (993.7 miles) and can carry a 120 kg warhead.
Deputy Minister of Strategic Industries Anna Hvozdiar stated that the FP-1 is already being produced in large quantities, with considerable interest from international partners.
“This product was born in Ukraine and was scaled up very quickly. This is another thing we can share with our partners,” Gvozdiar said.
In related news, Ukraine is set to lift its long-standing ban on exporting domestically produced weapons. The policy shift has received preliminary approval from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, with a final decision expected in May.
