Ukrainian Children Freed from Russian Military Camps and Schools in Operation Led by Save Ukraine

Under the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, two groups of Ukrainian children and young people have been safely returned from Russian-occupied territories. This Ukrainian organization has long been working to reunite children with their families and protect them from the dangers of the ongoing war, Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office Andriy Yermak wrote on his Telegram page on August 28.

The Save Ukraine team facilitated the return of a group of children who had been forced to attend Russian schools and meet with Russian soldiers.

“One of the children had been sent to a Russian military camp without his mother’s consent, and others were at risk of forced mobilization into the Russian military,” Yermak states.

Additionally, the Ukrainian Child Rights Network assisted in rescuing another group of boys from the occupied territories.

“They lived in constant fear of mobilization and repression, but today they are free in Ukraine, close to their families,” Yermak said.

This successful operation is part of Ukraine’s broader efforts to bring all children back from occupied territories, ensuring their safety and security.

“We are committed to fulfilling the President’s mission to bring all Ukrainian children home,” Andriy Yermak concluded.

Previously, it was reported that another child has been successfully returned from the temporarily occupied territories after resisting pressure and continuing studies in a Ukrainian school, with the dream of pursuing education in free Ukraine
