According to Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, the operation was carried out by the 1st Separate Center of Unmanned Systems, with targeting support provided by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
“Negative refueling is ongoing in Stanytsia Luhanska,” said Unmanned Systems Forces commander Robert “Madyar” Brovdi.
Footage released by Ukrainian forces shows drone strikes hitting fuel tank cars, followed by a fire. The attack reportedly involved drones produced by the Ukrainian company Fire Point, including FP-1 and FP-2 models designed for strike missions against logistical and infrastructure targets.
The train was transporting fuel and lubricants intended for Russian forces. The strike occurred near the settlement of Stanytsia Luhanska, close to the front line in eastern Ukraine.
Ukrainian forces have increasingly focused on disrupting Russian supply chains, including rail transport of fuel and ammunition. Similar strikes have been reported earlier this year, including an attack near Dovzhansk, where a train carrying fuel and munitions was hit.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Defense Forces carried out a series of overnight strikes targeting Russian air defense systems, radar stations, and UAV storage facilities on March 22–23. The attacks hit a Tor system in occupied Donetsk region, a Tunguska system and Nebo-U radar in Bryansk region, as well as fuel depots, ammunition warehouses, and Shahed drone storage sites across occupied territories, disrupting key elements of Russia’s battlefield logistics and air defense network.
