Ukrainian drones carried out a precision strike on the Perekop Bromine Plant in the city of Krasnoperekopsk in northern Crimea, according to a video released by the commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces on November 23.

Footage shared on social media appears to show domestically produced strike drones—likely FP-1 or FP-2 models—closing in on the target moments before impact.

The attack took place overnight between November 22 and 23. The facility is a major chemical producer in occupied Crimea, manufacturing bromine, bromides, and other industrial chemical compounds.

Before the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Perekop plant served primarily the military-industrial sector. It was reorganized into the open joint-stock company “Brom” in 1996 and later became a private enterprise in 2004.

Today, it remains the only producer of bromine-based chemical compounds in Eastern Europe, supplying products for the chemical, pharmaceutical, and rubber industries.

Alongside the strike on the plant, Ukrainian drones also targeted the 220-kilovolt “Krasnoperekopsk” substation, one of the key nodes in Crimea’s power distribution system. The substation plays a central role in receiving and routing electricity across the region.

Earlier, reports emerged that strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces have significantly damaged the Saky Thermal Power Plant in the occupied Crimea.
