Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,080 Troops and 76 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces lost 1,080 troops and 76 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on the morning of May 3.

According to the latest figures, Russia’s total combat losses since the start of its full-scale invasion in February 2022 have reached approximately 1,334,030 personnel.
The General Staff also reported additional equipment losses, including two tanks and three armored fighting vehicles. Ukrainian forces destroyed two multiple launch rocket systems, bringing the total to 1,765.
Losses in other categories included 12 ground robotic systems, more than 2,200 operational-tactical drones, as well as 282 vehicles and fuel tankers.

Over the past day, 141 combat engagements were recorded across the frontline, with the heaviest fighting concentrated in the Pokrovsk, Huliaipole, and Kostiantynivka directions.
Russian forces carried out one missile strike using a single missile, along with 79 airstrikes that involved dropping 254 guided aerial bombs.
In addition, Russian troops deployed 9,870 strike drones and conducted 3,203 shelling attacks against Ukrainian positions and settlements, including 44 using multiple launch rocket systems.
Ukraine’s Air Force, missile forces, and artillery struck three areas of personnel concentration, a communications hub, and three artillery systems over the same period.
Earlier, Ukraine struck a Russian Iskander missile unit and multiple radar systems in temporarily occupied Crimea, including the “Podlyot” and “MIS-M1” stations, according to the General Staff. Additional targets included UAV command posts and a drone storage site in Donetsk region, as well as a repair unit in Luhansk region and an ammunition depot in Kherson region.
