Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,520 Troops, 73 Artillery Systems, and 11 Air Defense Systems in One Day

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces lost an estimated 1,520 personnel, 73 artillery systems, and 1,816 operational-tactical UAVs, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The daily update brings Russia’s estimated total personnel losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, to approximately 1,516,430.

In addition to personnel, Ukrainian Defense Forces neutralized one Russian tank, five armored combat vehicles, and 73 artillery systems during the reporting period. Ukraine also reported the destruction of one multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), 11 air defense systems, 16 unmanned ground vehicles, and 1,816 operational-tactical UAVs.

Ground transport losses included 480 vehicles and fuel tankers, alongside two pieces of special equipment.

Over the past day, Russian forces launched one missile strike and 89 airstrikes, dropping 312 guided aerial bombs. The occupiers also conducted 2,952 shellings of Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, deploying 10,588 suicide drones across various sectors.

In response, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery targeted eight areas of Russian manpower concentration, two drone control posts, and one anti-aircraft missile system.

A total of 213 combat engagements were recorded along the frontline over the past 24 hours. The highest concentration of Russian assault operations occurred in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 29 attacks, particularly near Bilytske, Serhiivka, and Udachne. Ukrainian forces also repelled 18 attacks in the Kostiantynivka sector and 12 attacks in the Pivdenno-Slobozhanske sector.

Ukrainian forces have also recently struck two launchers belonging to a Russian S-400 air defense system near Vygonichi in Russia’s Bryansk region. The operation formed part of a coordinated series of long-range strikes against key Russian military infrastructure, including a drone storage, preparation, and launch site near occupied Donetsk.

Ukrainian units also targeted logistics and materiel depots in Kurakhivka and Nova Marivka in the Donetsk region, alongside another depot in the occupied Luhansk region, while striking Russian troop concentrations near Strilkove in Kherson Oblast and Druzhne in Luhansk Oblast.
