The battalion released footage of the operation on October 29, showing Ukrainian drone operators targeting Russian troops in the area.

According to the unit, one Russian soldier attempted to evade the drones by taking cover in a river but was ultimately struck.

The battalion confirmed that Russian infantry personnel were hit during the operation, emphasizing that attempts to conceal their positions had not prevented Ukrainian FPV drone operators from locating and engaging them.

Similar attempts to evade Ukrainian drone surveillance have also been reported in other sectors of the frontline. In the Dobropillia area of Ukraine’s Donetsk region, Russian troops have resorted to hiding among the bodies of fallen soldiers as they continue attempts to advance through Ukrainian defensive positions.

Ukraine’s 20th Liubart Brigade of the National Guard reported on October 19 that Russian forces had spent several months attempting to penetrate Ukrainian defenses using small infantry assault groups, despite sustaining significant casualties along the same route.

According to the brigade, some Russian soldiers attempted to avoid detection by positioning themselves among the bodies of fallen troops, apparently seeking to conceal themselves from Ukrainian drone operators and avoid further strikes.

Earlier this month, Ukrainian forces drove Russian troops back from positions near Hruzke and Novomykolaivka in the Dobropillia sector during a joint military operation, the 425th Skelia Separate Assault Brigade reported, publishing footage of the engagement.

The operation was carried out by personnel from the 425th Skelia Separate Assault Brigade alongside units of the 1st Azov Corps of Ukraine’s National Guard.
