Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov added that a private house and a pumping station were also damaged, with one car catching fire as a result of the strike.
Syniehubov clarified that men aged 18, 66, and 68, as well as a 58-year-old woman, sustained blast injuries and glass-related wounds. Their condition is described as moderate, with three individuals hospitalised.
Two additional victims suffered acute stress reactions.
Several days earlier, Russian forces also targeted a repair crew in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, injuring two energy workers during a drone strike, the Ukrainian Energy Ministry reported on 27 May.
According to the ministry, the team was attacked by a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle while carrying out maintenance and repair work on energy infrastructure.
“In the Kharkiv region, an energy workers’ brigade came under enemy UAV fire while performing official duties. As a result of the attack, two workers were injured. The victims were taken to hospital, where they received all necessary medical assistance,” the ministry said.

The ministry also noted that continued hostilities and strikes on energy facilities have left parts of the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions without electricity.
Amid ongoing attacks in the region, local authorities have also expanded protective measures in education.
Speaking at the GLOBSEC Forum, Ihor Terekhov said that the city has been forced to build 10 underground schools and is currently constructing its first underground kindergarten to allow children to continue their education safely amid continued Russian attacks.
