The munition struck a passage connecting two hospital buildings, damaging the facade and hospital wards and blowing out windows.

Another medical facility and a laboratory were also damaged, along with windows in 10 apartment buildings nearby.

Authorities said 73 people were injured, including hospital patients, medical workers, and residents of surrounding buildings.

Investigators recovered fragments of the weapon at the scene. Preliminary evidence indicates that Russia may have used a FAB-250 aerial bomb fitted with a UMPK-5R guidance module.

The hospital strike came during a much broader Russian aerial assault across Ukraine.

According to Ukraine’s Air Force, Russia launched Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles and Zircon missiles from Russia’s Rostov, Voronezh, and Kursk regions.

Russian forces also launched 59 Kh-101, Kh-59, Kh-69, and Iskander-K cruise missiles from the Vologda, Orenburg, and Oryol regions.

The attack additionally included 289 Shahed-type strike drones, Gerbera drones, and Parodiya decoys launched from several locations in Russia, the temporarily occupied parts of the Donetsk region, and occupied Crimea.

Of the 289 drones, 120 were jet-powered Shahed variants.

The main targets of the overnight attack were the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Ukrainian fighter aircraft, surface-to-air missile units, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups were involved in repelling the attack.

By 9 am, Ukrainian air defenses had shot down or suppressed 309 aerial targets, according to preliminary figures.

Those included three Iskander-M/KN-23/Zircon missiles, 49 Kh-101, Kh-59, Kh-69, and Iskander-K cruise missiles, as well as 257 drones.

Among the intercepted UAVs were 89 jet-powered Shaheds.

Ukraine’s Air Force said information concerning three additional missiles was still being clarified.

Russian missiles and attack drones were recorded hitting 23 locations across Ukraine, while debris from intercepted targets fell at another 14 sites.

Just a day earlier, Russia launched multiple guided aerial bomb strikes on Komyshuvakha in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, killing at least 24 people and injuring five.
