Russia Hits Ukrainian Energy Company YASNO, Destroying a Warehouse and Solar Equipment

A Russian attack completely destroyed a warehouse containing equipment for solar power plants operated by Ukrainian energy company YASNO , CEO Serhii Kovalenko said.
According to Kovalenko, no employees were injured in the attack or the subsequent blaze.

“The most important thing is that everyone is safe. That is what matters most,” Kovalenko said.
The facility stored part of the company’s equipment intended for solar power plants, most of which was damaged in the fire. Equipment that survived the attack has already been evacuated and transferred to other warehouses.
The company is currently assessing the full extent and financial value of the damage.
Despite the loss of the warehouse and equipment, Kovalenko said YASNO would continue operating as usual and fulfill its existing commitments to customers.
According to the CEO, the company expects no equipment shortages and plans to maintain its scheduled timelines and quality standards for the installation of solar power systems and energy storage systems.
“We will not face a shortage of equipment, as we have all the necessary reserves,” Kovalenko said.
The strike comes amid a broader wave of Russian attacks on Ukrainian warehouse and logistics infrastructure, forcing businesses across multiple sectors to adapt their supply chains.
Ukraine’s food supply, for instance, remains stable despite Russian strikes that have destroyed around 90% of retail chains’ warehouse capacity, Agriculture and Food Minister Taras Vysotskyi stated.
According to Vysotskyi, retailers and suppliers are responding to the losses by restructuring logistics, relocating inventories, adjusting delivery routes, and changing how goods are stored.
