Russia Loses 1,430 Troops, 2 Tanks and 70 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces lost another 1,430 troops, two tanks, and 70 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on May 30.

According to the latest figures, Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,362,500.

Ukraine’s military also reported the destruction of seven armored combat vehicles, five multiple launch rocket systems, one air defense system, four ground robotic systems, 1,781 operational-tactical drones, six cruise missiles, 483 vehicles and fuel tankers, and four pieces of special equipment over the past day.

Overall, Russian equipment losses reported by Ukraine now include 11,960 tanks, 24,643 armored combat vehicles, 42,930 artillery systems, 1,813 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,398 air defense systems, 436 aircraft, 353 helicopters, 318,433 operational-tactical drones, 4,693 cruise missiles, 33 ships and boats, two submarines, 100,713 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,231 pieces of special equipment.

The General Staff said 291 combat engagements took place along the front line over the past day. Russian forces attacked most heavily on the Pokrovsk axis, where 49 assaults were recorded, and on the Huliaipole axis, where 40 attacks took place.

On the Southern Slobozhanskyi axis, Russian troops launched eight attacks near Starytsia, Lyman, Vovchansk, and toward Ternova and Izbytske. Ukrainian defenders also repelled eight assaults on the Kupiansk axis and 12 attacks on the Lyman axis.

Over the same period, Russian forces carried out three airstrikes in the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk sectors, dropping six guided aerial bombs. They also conducted 64 shelling attacks against Ukrainian positions and populated areas in the area, including six attacks using multiple launch rocket systems.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces reported that drone operators from the Phoenix unit struck multiple Russian artillery systems, military vehicles, and logistics assets in the Donetsk region, disrupting ammunition deliveries and troop movements while reducing Russia’s combat capabilities in the area.
